Some fun design inspiration from London
It has been so long since I have posted. Holy cow May took me like a storm. My oldest son graduated from high school this year, so for his graduation gift we decided to take him on a trip to London and Germany. I love going to Europe and seeing all the architecture. It is what I am most interested in. I had never been to Germany, so it was exciting to see all the different buildings and houses that Germany has to offer. The small villages were so quaint, and the houses were true German style.
I can’t believe what beautiful detail there is on all of the old houses and shops. The yards were so beautiful filled with flowers. People take a lot of pride in their surroundings.
I have been to London before and I love all of the beautiful town houses that line the street. The white with the black doors, the white with the brick buildings. So beautiful. My home is a colonial home with two columns in the front like the homes in London. So one day we were walking past all of these lovely homes, and I came across some inspiration for our front porch.
I love these tiled steps! I want to do this with my own front steps. I was all excited about this idea, then I looked on the columns and saw this…
The address is on the column. I love this idea! I am going to get out my vinyl cutter and I am going to put my address on my front porch columns. I have been trying to find a way to display my address on my home so it can be seen from the road, and this is the perfect solution.
So there it is…my two favorite design inspirations I got from this trip.
