Fall touches…my family room
I think I’ve mentioned before. I love fall. It is probably my most favorite season of the year. Most years I have gone all out with my fall decorating. I would use garlands, pumpkins, pictures…you  name it.  This year however, I decided to take a much more simple approach. I wanted to have a cozy fall feel to the room without the clutter of too much stuff. It is different than I have done before, but I like it.
I did not want to completely tear apart my room to decorate for fall this year. Instead I just added a few fun touches. My blankets and pillows get added for texture and warmth. I love the color of my couches because they accept the colors of the season so well.
I added a pumpkin to my books on my ottoman.
I kept the flowers in the vase and added some chestnuts to the glass cup. Then for my cabinet all I did was find an old flashcard that said fall and displayed it on an antique metal comb.
I decided to display a painting of a pumpkin I painted last year to my table.
My orange chair is perfect on it’s own for fall, but I love my old fashion milk container next to it filled with a pillow and flour sack.
In my entry way, I kept things super simple and only added a vase of sunflowers to my dresser. It adds a little bit of fall charm along with my giant white apple.
I added my wood cork apple to my old radio. It goes so cute with my fall picture of Utah State.
So there you have it. Some fun touches I have added to my home to warm it up for the fall season. I love how just displaying a few things fall makes the room feel warm and cozy.
