Changing it up
Isn’t it funny that in January most of us are craving a little change in our homes. I don’t know if it is because we are spending so much time inside from winter, or just that our spaces look a little plain from Christmas. Whatever it is, I know that for me, I need that little change up in my home in January. Usually it is just moving things I already have around to different spaces, or adding a few new accessories here and there. This year has been great because I found and got a couple of great new items that made my space feel a little more fun.
So for Christmas this year Jeff got me this fun antique milk container. It is a tin clover leaf container from Salt Lake City. This container use to sit on someone’s porch back in the day where glass bottles of milk were delivered. So cool! I am using it as a container to hold my grain sack and pillow next to my chair.
I love the different texture it gives to the space, and I love it’s history as well.
Right after Christmas we were antique shopping and came across this old 1930’s radio.
My husband and I both love old items. Things with history, or that tell a story of the past. Not to mention, it is just beautiful. So we grabbed it and took it home. It actually works. Jeff installed blue tooth to the back, and we can play music from our phones through the speakers. So cool! This was seriously such a fun find. I love the way it looks, and the sound coming from the speakers is awesome too.
I love finding and hunting for one of a kind pieces to go in my home. I especially love changing things up in the winter. It gives me a little boost of excitement and energy that helps me survive those long winter days.

Love that 1930’s radio. Did you find it at Vain and Vintage? It looks absolutely perfect in your family room. Jeff has a good eye for antiques. The old milk container is very cute too. Your house is amazing and decorated to perfection.
