We have Cabinets!

Finally, our cabinets are here. It is funny, I have a friend at work who, when ever she sees me asks me if my cabinets are here, and all summer I have had to tell her no. Not anymore! Yay. They came from Barker Cabinets in Portland Oregon about a week or so ago. They are solid wood, and beautifully made.  They ship them unassembled to your home, so we had a lot of building ahead of us.

They really weren’t that bad to put together. Defiantly the fun part of the project. They come with screws that work and don’t strip, so it is fast and easy to do. We had them assembled and put in a couple of days.

It was scary to see the kitchen come together for me. We totally switched the lay out around, and I think I was holding my breath until the end. Happy news…everything fit, and I am loving the lay out!

Now we are waiting on counter tops, I have to paint the baking island, find hardware,  and we need to install back splash and make our range hood.  So close!
