A bit of spray paint
I can’t believe it is November already. Time is flying. I love the fall, and decorating for it is so much fun. That being said, I also love Christmas, and decorating for that is a lot more fun. So every November 1st I start thinking about how I want to decorate. Little touches I want to change from previous years, or crafts I want to do. This week I have been thinking about my porch. I have had this fun lantern for years now and it has recently been out in my back yard.
I painted it yellow so that it would stand out in the yard.
I cleaned all the dirt and cobwebs off and sanded all the loose paint.
Then I grabbed my favorite spray paint. I almost always use satin finish. I just like the way it looks on things that I put outside. It keeps them looking not so shiny and new.
Then I went to work spraying.
It is a blue gray color. So pretty with my front door. This took me a total of fifteen minutes. A very quick and easy transformation. It looks like new, and will look great for Christmas on my porch.
I was also at the antique store the other day and found this gem for five bucks.
I think it was an old headboard or something. My hubby questioned me, but I have something great in store for this beauty. I am excited to get to work on it. I can’t wait to turn on the Christmas music, and decorate to my hearts content. It is always fun to be ready for the season. I have spent a lot of my time frantically trying to paint, sew, or change something the week I am decorating. I am happier when I use the first of November to get ready for the holiday season and everything is just ready to go.

Can’t wait to see the end result! Chalkboard perhaps? Or someplace to hang your stockings? Hmmmm……
