A fall wreath
I love summer. I love the warm weather, the beautiful gardens, vacations, barbeques, picnics, the sound of kids playing outside. Having said that, I also love love fall. Fall…oh beautiful fall. I love everything about fall. The gardens are still beautiful, the changing leaves, the colors, the food, sweaters, pumpkins….everything. So every August I spend a little time getting things ready to decorate my home for the fall season. This morning I spent some time making a wreath that can hang on my front door to welcome in the season.
I started with a pre made wreath I found at Hobby Lobby. This was a very cost effective option because all the filler is already on the wreath. All you have to do is find some picks and fill it in to your heart’s content.
I just grabbed a few small picks from the fall section to add, I didn’t need a lot, and started hot gluing them onto the wreath. I had a little leftover green ribbon from another project, and added a bow to the center. I chose colors that looked like fall to me and that complimented the foliage that was already on the wreath. Then a few minutes later, I had a beautiful wreath.
This was a fun and easy project anyone can do to add a little fall color into their homes.
